In 1974, a British-Polish model visits Tokyo. Her name was 'ANDROMEDA'. Leagues
below the island, the sea god, TRITON, joked that she was more attractive than any of NEREUS' 'spawn'. This comment
angered Nereus and his wife (at the time) DORYS. Triton was banished and Dorys sent the Nereid (the fifty daughters
of Nereus) to summon this mortal model for judgment!
One of Andromeda's photoshoots was schedualled to be in Okinawa's beach. U.S. and Japanese
military were there. The Nereid feared no mortals and attacked, looking for the exquisite model. A young heir
to a fortune named LORD ROBERT AIX, was on the beach in Okinawa on his speed boat, when the Nereid attack. As the naval
officers blast the Nereid, Lord Rob manages to sweep Andromeda off her feet and speed the two away, with Xo Nereid and Csylla
in hot pursuit.
Chase scene.
LORD ROBERT
"Why are they following you?"
ANDROMEDA
"I have no idea! I've always been nice to animals!"
Lord Robert was Japanese and Andromeda was a Polish-Brit. The two hooked-up, once they got to safety.
She got pregnant and the two never saw each other again.
Robert's family forebade him to see Andromeda again. Spooked by the Nereid
attack, Andromeda's modeling agency released her from her contract, and her British citizenship was terminated. Andromeda
moved to Shinjuku, where she changed her name and overall identity to elude anymore supernatural or immortal attackers.
Triton looked for her. Once her baby girl was born, she named her Cairinini. But, to allow her to find her father,
she gave her his last name, Aix. Triton was unable to find the model, but did discover her teenaged daughter in Shinjuku.
There, he turned himself into shapable water, in order to protect her without drawing the attention of the gods.
Japan's most popular superhero - - - - used to be the Graceful Crane, former sidekick of CAPTAIN
JAPAN, but when the sea god TRITON decided to become her personal guardian, Karen Aix (along with years of secret
ninja training) becomes the greatest superhero Japan has ever known (in her own mind):
DUCK-GIRL!
O.K., so she's not the greatest superhero to come out of Japan (that was SPECTRE-MAN).
But, she might be the finest.
